Identify deficits of autistic children learning-there are clues?

There are clues that indicate autistic children identify with having learning deficits? They seem to strive to imitate others? When being introduced new abilities, they avoid spending time with other people? Autistic children have difficulty in making contact with the eyes or facial expressions understanding in others? These could be clues to identifying learning deficits in autistic kids?

Children learn and grow by figuring out how to interact socially and imitating others. It was revealed that tracks through research and testing, showed children with autism have difficulty in learning with others, even his brothers.

I experienced my brother who is autistic, that his lack of attention to make contact with eyes, a trait that is often present in the initial stages of autistic children. They seem to look away from a person, as if the other person was not present.

Some researchers claim to have clues to identify learning deficits. They believe that children with autism struggle with learning. It was given because of their inability to pay attention, focus, and the use of poor motor skills.

Researchers and practitioners are now understanding that this study has positive expectancy because autistic children can develop better learning ability and social cues.

Identification of learning deficits in autistic children have revealed clues that autistic children pay the same amount of attention to the instructions given, like children without autism. This track, discredits the theories that autistic children do not pay much attention to the tasks or instructions given to them.

I have noticed with the clutter of my brother, that he could successfully run a task, in comparison with his brothers. Doing the task became easier for him when he had time to study what it was instructed to do. It seemed that there was an indication of poor motor skills.

Therefore, the track that the lack of motor skills is not the problem to imitate others in autistic children, learn and grow.

I have noticed when my brother was with his peers, he would make an effort to look for the person who was giving him instructions or show any specific task. But he made this effort less frequently as repeating became more noticeable.

This track identified for me, that imitate another individual, is not something that happens because of the repetition of an action, or instructions given. This happens when the individual is able to understand the reason for the action being preformed or given to the individual who has autism.

You believe that these are clues to identify deficits of autistic children learning? If you have an autistic child, or know someone who does, you observe them clues that can identify learning deficits?

The efficient use of language and how it affects autistic children

When looking for the language we use with our autistic children is useful for dividing it into categories. There are four things that concentrate when you want to use appropriate language with his son.

1. stay away from negative

One thing to remember is that the subconscious mind doesn't "hear" negatives. When you say to a child "no" to do something, that the child really going to do it, because the negative keyword is filtered by the subconscious. For example, if you tell a kid, "don't run," the child will only hear the word "run". It is better to say, "Please walk," or "I'd like you to walk" or simply "walk." Depending on how you usually talk with your child, you may have to work hard to change the way you phrase requests. Just try to concentrate on the positive and minimize negative. This means that when you request a quote for your child, you should use positive language and state what the child is doing, staying away from saying that the child is not to do.

2. break things/requests.

Another thing to remember when talking with autistic children is that they don't have the same level of concentration as an adult, or even another child does. For this reason, it is important to break down the tasks for them so they won't feel overwhelmed. It's so easy for us to just say "clean up your room", but an autistic child doesn't know where to start. You need to break it down and ask him to clean her clothes only. You can even tell you to pick up the clothes according to color. tell it to pick up the Red clothes, then blue, then clothes clothes pink. Then ask him to clean up their toys. You'll get better results and your child will feel better about it too.

3. offer options

Children of any age need to feel like they are in control of their lives and this need may be even more pronounced in autistic children. After all, she is trapped inside a mind that she knows that she needs to communicate, but also knows that she cannot. Autistic children also do not like change, which is part of life. This must be extremely frustrating. Giving an autistic child the ability to make choices, you can help alleviate some frustration in the situation of the child. The key to doing this is to ensure that the choices are simple, otherwise you risk overwhelming the autistic child, which will very likely cause undesirable behavior instead of prevention. Of course, there are some things that children simply have to do, but you can make it easier for them, offering options around these things. For example, they have to eat, but by offering them a choice of what to eat, they can take what they like and feel good about it. If your child is non-verbal or not very verbal, can still offer food options using images and having it point to the image of what she wants. The ability to control your life is something that we all want and should value this need in our children.

4. talk with them and with them positively

Your child will be everything you tell them consistently and his positive message can make the difference between his autistic son growing up to be an adult working in a career that she likes or an adult who has difficulty functioning in society. Have you ever met an autistic adult who was happy in his life and career and said their parents always told her that she could do anything she wanted and that she could get anything? Well, guess what? She did just that. But if these same parents had said that the same child that she wasn't able to do certain things or that something was out of reach because of his autism, she probably would not have achieved a lot. The adult standing before you would probably have a very different life.

If you complain that his son is slow and then it will be slow. However, if you tell her she is smart and what it can do anything she wants, she will have that in your life and you'll see it in their efforts in school and beyond. It is important to convey to your child that she is great. When you do this, the child will be great and believe they are great.

The key is that when you use the appropriate language with children becomes a win-win situation for everyone.

Signs of autism in children

Detect autism spectrum disorder in young age is vital to the care of the disorder. The sooner it is diagnosed, the better chance that the child must make improvements after receiving care from autism. Signs of autism and associated symptoms vary widely and, therefore, this condition is now known as autism spectrum disorder to account for its different manifestations. Doctors and experts continue to differ on what they believe causes autism and how it can be better treated. However, there is no debate about the fact that and receive treatment for autism in its early stages is essential. This is because the younger the child, the more your brain plasticity, thus allowing treatment to rewire the connections.

There are several warning signs for autism in children, but a factor that is considered essential. Generally, all children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder are found to have difficulty in three areas. In the first place is communication. Children who have problems with verbal and nonverbal actions such as babbling or pointing are seen at risk for autism. Another common symptom is if the child has difficulty relating to others in terms of active social game. The third area is the difficulty with reacting to people, events and tones of voice. If a child does not smile when her mother smiled at them, they may be at risk for autism.

Parents of children must also be attentive to the delays in development. If a child does not meet the standard goals at the correct times could be an increased risk for autism. This does not mean that if a child does not speak with the appropriate age they are diagnosed with autism, but they may be at risk because they don't speak is a sign of potential.

A sign warning seriously and must be immediately evaluate is whether your baby regresses into any skill sets or steps which they arrived. This includes regression in speech, where at one point the child was doing words such as "MOM" and "daddy" but now they can't pronounce these words. In addition, if a child was involved in activities involving other people such as peek-a-boo, and now the child not to participate in these activities, this could be an important signal of alert and the child should be evaluated by a healthcare professional immediately.

Additional early symptoms to watch out for include the absence of typical behavior. These are babies who don't smile or respond to a familiar voice. Babies that do not follow objects in front of them or those who don't get to be picked up. For nine months, infants should be able to react to sounds and facial expressions and if they are missing in this capacity may be a sign of autism. For twelve months, babies should respond to its name and participate actively in your environment while communicating verbally and pointing and gestures.

Autism spectrum disorder is a condition only where the signs and symptoms may mean several things. A child not talking can only mean that they have not reached this goal and is not a determination that they are autistic. It is important that all concerns are discussed with the medical professional who can diagnose and recommend the best autism care.

Aspergers children: Perception Versus reality

I want to share a recent story that illustrates the care that we have to make assumptions based on perception of patterns of behavior in Aspergers kids. My child's parent-teacher conference this week, we were informed that my son always accepts invitations from other children to play with them during recess at school, but if he is not invited to play with other kids be played happily by itself. He has complained to anyone about the situation, and so we were told that he is happy with things as they are. A few days later I was talking with my son about his experiences of playground. He said he would like to play with other children on the playground more, but that "it is difficult."

Until that point I was open to the possibility that my son preferred solitude during the recess, but my son was telling me that he would like to play with other children, but that there was something preventing him from doing so, becoming "difficult". He is only seven years old and in the second series, so all he could say was that it was "difficult". I didn't expect him to say so. I don't get him to say so. I was really curious about what he was thinking and feeling about your vacation time. It gives me a stories or get upset. He was just stating the facts of your situation from their perspective. He wanted to play more with the other children, but he found it "hard", meaning that there was no "connections" that he wanted to do that wasn't happening.

When it comes to our children Aspergers or other children on the autism spectrum, we observe and ask questions to do our best to find out what is really happening. Just because someone doesn't complain about something doesn't mean that there is a problem. My son is a sweet kid and positive. It wasn't until we gave him the space to mention that he said what was really going on with it. This may seem so simple, however, as many of us are really listening to our children. It is much easier to see patterns of behavior and make assumptions. While this approach can align with the real facts now and then, without going into real conversation, we can be much further from the truth than we realize. And if you don't know what is really happening, how can we take effective measures to improve the situation? We are sharing that information with the school staff to help them understand that while it appears to be happy playing my own, it would be somewhat involved in the game with the other children (despite appearances). The only thing preventing that is "difficult" for it now. So let's see what we can do as a team to help make it more "easy" for him to play with the kids during recess.

Diagnosis and treatment of autism in children

Those concerned with the treatment of autism often want to know how soon you can legitimately diagnosing a child or a child with autism. Now, certainly are split opinions and there is no definitive answer, but some say that there are some signs to watch for in your baby.

Autism is difficult to diagnose before age 2, but babies can begin showing symptoms between 12 and 18 months of age. For the most part, you want to be aware of what are the goals of development for each age and watch to make sure that you achieve them. Marcos missing is a good track for potential problems.

If your baby does not respond to cuddling and seems to harden into his arms and try to stay away from you, which could be a sign of possible (or you could have just one baby pampered). If your baby does not look to you when being fed, or to be performed, these too are signs.

Other possible warning signs of autism in children

Here are some other early signs of autism in babies and children:
If your baby does not smile at you when you smile at himYour child does not respond to cuddling or not arrive and want to be selected upNot staring at you when you're feeding herNot responding to your name or to the sound of a voiceWon 't family follow objects or concentrate on them with your eyes as you move them aroundNot using gestures such as pointing or beckoning goodbyeNot recognize gestures you usenot looking for an object that you point toNot realizing that if he makes noise, he'll have his attentionLack mimicking facial expressions or lack of imitation of your hand or body movementsWhen you get it she doesn't reach you to express the desire to be held

If for one year of age, your baby does not respond to its name, doesn't babble or engage in "baby talk" and that does not point to things to show you, then this also ensures an evaluation by a physician.

Is there such a thing as the treatment of autism for children?

Well, some researchers think so. One of the most important elements of children's experience is the mother-child bond. If a child is not in line with this link or are trying to avoid the connection because of certain sensory issues, so they could miss out on important steps for the social development later.

So what can you do to help social development skills of autistic child gain?

You can change the environment so that it promotes interaction, such as eye contact and babbling. You make the child feel as comfortable as possible. This means that it needs to be as quiet as possible, no bright lights, cell phones and other such things can be visually overwhelming could be overwhelming, fragrances and slow start.

Suppose your baby is being bombarded by sensory information and try to minimize that, so that they can focus on you instead. Touch your baby very smoothly and slowly. If you do this, there is a greater chance that the child will be learning the social information that they must be in line with.

Diagnosing and treating autism in children is difficult to do, but not impossible.

The five best educational materials for children with autism and special needs

We had more than ten years of experience in tutoring and teaching our daughter with an autism spectrum disorder. Below are some of the educational use that we thought were more successful in their development and learning. These methods can be used with any child with or without an autism spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental disorder or special needs.

Teaching aid 1-creating a therapy room
At the beginning, what got us going was the son RISE. Liz was the United States to the Institute and made a two-week courses on how to deal with a child with autism, methods for working with and mentoring a child with autism and how to configure a room of therapy for a mentoring a child with autism and/or special needs.

The course is, in General, not only for parents of children with autism, but also for children with learning difficulties, generalized development disorder (PDD) and children with special needs. The course focusses too much on dealing with an emotional level with the fact that your son has an intellectual disability, and ongoing support, if desired.

So on the arrival of Liz back home that we have assembled a therapy room. We have used a spare room and painted in vivid colors. We can configure with shelves and drawers to store, play equipment, a computer and printer, table height of the child a suitable and chairs to work on top of the table and a resistant coatings. The basic idea was to have a room that the child can identify with as an area of learning and fun only, somewhere they in time know that when they are there is time to learn.

2-get help teaching by means of a child with autism
One of the things very useful that Liz learned with son RISE was a method for working with autistic children, a way to get to them and that was to arrive at their level. Get down on the floor and rock with them, as they do spin objects, repeat the sounds they make, enter their world. This is how we have Isy accusing us, doing exactly that! She began to pay attention when we enter into his world and we slowly began to influence their behaviour and satisfy their thirst for learning.

Most children with or without autism spectrum disorders, Pervasive developmental disorders, learning difficulties or disabilities enjoy learning, they have a thirst for knowledge, is just a matter of finding how to reach them and make learning fun for them and for yourself.

Teaching aid 3-applied behavioral analysis and discrete trial teaching
The next step for us was getting in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and discrete trial teaching (DTT). Liz also sought out and trained therapists, including student Uni work intensely with Isy and its progress was amazing. Isy loved in his learning therapy room. Each session would run for 2 hours, and she would earn up to three sessions per day up to six days per week.

In a relatively short time, Isy began to learn to count, spell out her name, read books, ask things, say Yes and no, imaginative play, identify the genres, moods, numerous items and much more. In a nutshell, she began to communicate and be aware of your surroundings, we were over the Moon! This thing really works.

Teaching aid 4-Custom made and IT Computer based teaching Aids
After a while Liz was amassing a range of autism spectrum disorder related educational materials, which could also be used with children with special needs, resources such as-letters with pictures, shapes, puzzles, color cards, cards for sizes, illustrated books, cards, etc. I also started doing a little it or training aids as interactive Flash cards with sound and a TOILET training program customized computer-based interactive. This time, I was working in Antarctica and I would send Isy via internet interactive stories of their favorite characters (Snowy and Humphrey) in Antarctica, this really was a long way in teaching him to read, she would thrash the stories!

Teaching aid 5-things kids love making
Another teaching great help that I used to teach language Isy was your springboard. She used to love to jump on the trampoline and even more so when I joined it, we would play silly games that required her to tell or say short sentences. I would like to point to the sky and take it to mean short phrases like "touch the clouds in the sky" or "turn" and "my turn" purposely would lie on the springboard until she would ask "getting up father" and "lets skip the father". Use a favorite activity for teaching children is a very powerful teaching helps

The first few days on springboard where Isy was beginning to learn to speak and we jump laugh and sometimes just sit and look at the birds of heaven were without doubt some of the best and most memorable days of my life.

These are some of the autism spectrum disorder educational materials we've seen that really worked for us and our daughter Isy. There are other factors involved in its course, as well as supplements, biomedical, physical activities such as swimming and horseback riding, music and sound therapy and what we believe to be a safe home environment safe and fun for all of us.

The symptoms of autism and healing in children

Information related to autism in children reveals that all sons of one hundred and fifty have this disease. Autism is a neurological disorder that affects many vital skills, including attention, thoughts, interaction with others, and perception. Statistics show that children are at a much higher risk to have Autism than adults. Early detection of symptoms of autism in children is very important. Any delay could mean the child to weaken the future. A wide range of disabilities are covered by the term autism. These deficiencies could vary from mild to severe. Autism causes frustration of the patient, as well as spouses. There are no specific symptoms that can be connected directly to this condition and perfect clinical diagnosis or clinical tests that can identify the disease are lacking too. Doctors and physicians, therefore, depend on the response of the children affected to certain stimuli or random testing to lookout for signs of autism. A single Curing Autism is still fleeing from modern science and has yet to be invented.

The symptoms of autism in children must be detected as soon as possible to better manage the disease and prevent future complications. Autistic children have difficulty in reaching an agreement with the various situations in life every day and as such are exposed to dangers in most cases. To resolve this problem, they need special attention, treatment and care with love and have to be given confidence enough to build a sense of security. Researchers and scientists, although making good progress in several aspects of the disease, treatments are still finding a cure from autism. There are many reasons behind this subterfuge of healing. On the one hand, there is no identifiable cause or causes for this disease. Secondly, not all individuals exhibit the same symptoms for this disease. Thirdly, this disease cannot be diagnosed in the true sense of the word. All these factors combine to make a one-time cura as vaccination difficult.

There are many medicines available to treat autism available on the market. Natural treatment of autism includes social treatment. Social treatment promotes the interaction of autistic children with other children in a playgroup and coexist with them. This helps the gradual erosion of the symptoms of autism and results in the standardisation of the child. Behavioral modification approach uses a technique to reward the child to display good behaviour and punishment in case of bad behavior. Natural environments are known to stimulate all the senses. Nature reduces stress and also stimulates the senses through images, sounds and aromas. Emotional health, physical and mental health of children affected by autism Gets reinforced largely through regular time outdoors. This increases your immune system that helps relieve symptoms of autism.

Nature therapy is a modern therapy designed to complement other therapies for autism. Natural activities promote healing properties. Natural environments promote all senses. A new research promotes the soothing nature renders to autistic patients. Autistic children with disabilities benefit physically, emotionally and psychologically appropriate spending time in the wild.

Comic strip agenda to teach autistic children and soothe

Agenda and day strips are a great way to get an autistic child to understand what is happening on a daily basis. He teaches language and can modify their behaviour, understanding what is happening.

We find with our daughters and other autistic children that one of the main causes of a collapse is when they are confused about what is happening. This is often happens when a routine is changed and they don't know about it, or understand why.

Communicating with autistic children, by some means, in advance, perhaps a day earlier, than wait for the day are exceptionally calm even if it is a big change in your routine.

One way that we find child communication is through pictures. Autistic children are highly visual communicators. They see the world in pictures, mainly because they cannot process sounds and written words.

Compics, PECS and Boardmaker were developed to communicate with people who have harmed or not have language skills. They can be used to communicate and, finally, for teaching language step-by-step.

The day agenda strips are just an example of using pictures to communicate, but that for us was a huge step to teach and communicate our daughter about what to expect over the next few days, and any changes to their routines.

With this knowledge it was as if she was a child completely different, voluntarily, after what was on the agenda, and experiences to accept new and challenging. However if the programming had to change, then there was a problem.

Over time however we changed things would use the same method, only without much notice, but was so effective in preparing it for change.

How do the strips of day agenda
The Strip can be composed of laminated cardboard or plastic with a Velcro strip along the front. The images used for the track consist of, Compic style images PECS or Boardmaker with a Velcro pad joined them on the back. The track is made long enough to fit enough pictures to the events of days.

It is important to make the strips and images large enough to draw the attention of the child and make it easier for them to see and read. Images must have words with them even if they can't read as this will help to teach them the words associated with the images.

How to use the Strip day agenda
For each day a schedule can be arranged in order of events from left to right. The child can see what day it is, for example f Friday and what will do during the day can be slowly progressed in time as the child learns to read or recognize the words on cards with words or short phrases only, to describe the events of days.

Now we have progressed is Isy use a journal that she refers regularly during the day to see what schedule their days. It's great to see her looking and reading her diary and know exactly what's in store for it for that day and the next day, such as events planned in the future.

It is important to know when progress pictures to words, phrases and not done too early or too late. If well done they will be easily and seamlessly transition time.

Resources and activities for autistic children

Many of us are not aware of the term "Autism", the proper definition of the term is not yet known. Can you tell if that is the disability development commonly found in children (3-5). Autism occurs due to malfunction and neurological disorder. This results in problems of communication and interaction. Children suffer from autism needs challenges to bring his life in the normal course. You can give in the form of funny games, where they can participate normally with their other normal children. Of course you cannot expect an autistic child play normally as other children. But there are other various activities for autistic children. But before anything, you should keep in mind:

The participants of the game-that it should be noted who are participating in the game? Make sure that nobody can ridicule the child with autism, instead, choose the kid who could help the child.

The level of activity-activity should not be so high that require communication with other participants or don't have the skill that the child may not have.

The problems of capability-the game should not be accompanied by a tremendous noise, physical contact, any stress or disruption to the child. These things often hurt the child, discourage them so they tend to be shy and keep away from others.

Activities for autistic children should include performance that includes relations with sensory activities-such as playing an object with eyes closed and identifying the object.

Sometimes it may be the way of describing an object with a look at it.

Can also include the recitation of poems and sing songs, practice sports such as basketball, golf or develop hobbies such as fishing, gardening, instead throwing footballs or crickets. They can also be given the musical instrument to be played.

Giving them the opportunity to draw and paint pictures of cute, or organizing small plays and drama where they can act.

If you are looking for resources for the treatment of autism or thinking about how to help the innocent children Autism affected there are useful ways.

Learning style-not verbal learners always, sometimes, children learn by viewing the objects shown to them.

Understand your ability-children of autism affected are often found having problems in the use of pens and pencils, then let them use computers where possible. The children of autism affected are very good student of technological progression.

Motivation-ask them to draw images of objects, animals, things, and then let them search the internet for the same and collect information.

Minimizes the distraction, as much as possible-try to keep children away from the distraction that can occur due to change in classrooms, physical contact, teasers etc.

Special abilities-there are many children who are found with special abilities. But, it turns out that they themselves are not aware of the fact. Is the primary responsibility of parents, teachers and elders to recognize them and guide them in this way when interest.

Thus, when using these resources for autism, you now can help autistic children and can create a better environment to live and normal.

Parents with autistic children should consider alternative music therapy as a treatment for autism

When parents with autistic children, there are many treatments for autism that you need to consider. There are so many different possible therapies out there, from the traditional to the alternative for those who seem to simply crazy. A therapy that has been getting attention of late for a treatment for Autism is music therapy.

Music Therapy

Music therapy may not be exactly what you think it is not focused on learning to play the instruments as much as it focuses on using music to engage the mind and emotions of the autistic person and helping them communicate.

Music is A more primal, some would say more natural, more standardized way of communication. People without skills to communicate any showed really respond and connect to others with music therapy.

Most people with autism as defaults, and the music is full of patterns. In addition, the song has a rhythm. It is something that people with autism may feel, rather than thinking.

Music Therapist

Music therapy is not instruction in music. A music therapist will employ a variety of tools, information and creative methods to create musical environments where an autistic person will feel comfortable. The music therapist will create these environments based on specific needs of each person.

Music therapy requires no verbal ability, which is great for those with autism. Can someone a Bell, bang a piano or shake cymbals without having to speak and therefore can start communicating with others through music. Many people will say that music is an ancient form of communication, perhaps even our oldest form of communication.

Music therapists can build relationships with kids that others might have thought unattainable using music to reach them. They can help those with communication skills of compiling autism, reduce their anxiety and increase their capacity to function.

Why the music therapy works well with autistic people?

Music is A universal language.
Music catch people's attention. Music motivates a person to respond and participate.
Music makes it possible for people with autism express and identify emotions that they otherwise would be able to.
Music can help increase cognitive skills and even help with auditory processing, gross and fine motor skills. This is because it acts as a sort of sensory integration therapy.
Music can reduce anxiety. Using the same piece of music repeatedly can help create a sense of security and familiarity, that will help make an autistic person more comfortable and more willing to learn.

Recognising autism in children

According to the Columbia University College of physicians and surgeons Complete Guide to Early Childhood Care, autism is defined as a childhood cognitive disorder characterized by self-centeredness, solitary, late development of speech, inability to relate to and a tendency to get involved ritualistic, repetitive movements.

This condition is among a group of disorders that include Asperger's disorder, Rett syndrome and childhood disintegrative disorder. In some cases autism is genetic or other prenatal damage can occur to the brain. Some features of autism include serious lack of social interaction, language difficulties and the likelihood of repetitive actions and a narrow focus of interest.

In children, some of the earliest signs of autism are failure to engage in prolonged eye contact, lack of emotional expressions with another person, and not engage in shared visual attention. Autistic children rarely use gestures as a form of communication, and its language can appear to reflect a lack of sensitivity to others ' perspectives. In the language, most children have difficulty with the pronoun I and you, what differentiates recognizing that two people in a conversation with different perspectives. It becomes increasingly evident that the child lives in a world of its own, where speech, facial expressions and other forms of communication are absent or unintelligible. Sometimes, some words are spoken, but are repeated several times without apparent reason.

An autistic child cannot distinguish between other people, other living things and inanimate objects and can treat them all equally. It may not be able to assess situations and therefore can react inappropriately to them. Some children with autism behave unpredictably. The child can become extremely upset if the furniture is reorganized at home or if he or she is brought in a new but friendly around. The same child can also be run on a busy street without any sign of fear.

The child can be stirred a moment and then sit completely still, in a strange position for a long period of time. Autistic children can adopt unusual postures and mannerisms that can make people uncomfortable around her. Autism occurs more often in boys than in girls and there is always a risk of injury if an autistic child is left without supervision, because he or she has difficulty acknowledging the danger.

Autism is the fastest growing development, and their frequency seems to be on the rise. It is affecting nearly one in every 150 births.

Applied behavioral analysis-an effective treatment for autism for children

When you talk about the treatment of autism for children, a name will keep coming back. Applied behavioral analysis, or ABA, is probably the most common treatment for autistic children, as well as being the most scientifically backed.

Naturally, the decision of that kind of treatment of autism to proceed to their children is always difficult. There are so many different types, and trying to separate what therapies are safe and effective and which are snake oil can be difficult. You should also consider how much money you have to spend with the therapies that will not be covered by insurance, and how long you have to spend Managing and directing the therapies. Autism has no cure, but can be improved. Different children, however, will improve the different rates and with different levels.

ABA divides tasks into simple steps

ABA is often a good starting point for the treatment of autism in children. It was developed by Ivar Lovaas and based on the theory of teaching a child to do simple tasks on a step-by-step method. With the ABA, the child is rewarded for achieving goals, usually very small targets that get incrementally more difficult and more complicated as time goes on.

ABA is a behaviorally oriented theory of autism treatment. Based on the idea that if you want to see a certain behavior on someone, you reward them, do it in incremental steps. As a result, they learn to do it more. Behaviorism originally said that negative behaviours should be punished, but it is rare that aversives, or negative consequences, are never used in the treatment of autism anymore.

Since children with autism have difficulty learning environment, ABA break things into smaller pieces for them.

How does the ABA

The therapist sits with a child in a room and asks the child to do a task of some sort. For example, asking his mother for a glass of juice. The child is requested on how to do it, and if he does, he is rewarded (by some chocolates perhaps, or a hearty "good job!")

If the child does not respond or do not complete the desired behavior, the request is repeated until the child is able to master it. If the desired task is too difficult, it is divided into smaller steps.

ABA involves keeping a large amount of data. The therapist registers how many times the child was able to accomplish the stated goal. This data is used to measure how effective is the therapy.

ABA aims to be a very intense therapy and usually requires about 40 hours per week so that it works well. This can be expensive, as well as a little tedious to many people. Modified versions may sometimes work as well, however.

There are many different forms of autism treatment for children, but tab is, for many children, a good place to start.
